Clean out your fridge…and SAVE the EARTH! CTWW

Cupboards are looking pretty bare...partially because the baby plays in there and I have to keep things out of his reach.  This is where I store all of my dry goods from the Bulk Bins.

Have you been avoiding those green beans in your fridge this week and that can of peas that has become known as “furniture of the cabinet”? Well if anything is growing fur by all means compost it or throw it out (in a biodegradable trash bag of course). But if its edible USE it!

Reduce, Reuse and Re-purpose with Rags, Rags and more RAGS! CTWW

Well, Reduce Footprints has recycled her original eco-challenge. This week we are to SAY NO to purchasing or using paper towels. I’m proud to say we are already a paper-towel-free home, we still have some actually, but we haven’t used any in about 6 months. Please check out my un-system of rags used for cleaning up a variety of messes.

Changing the World with a loaf of bread and a pot of coffee this Father’s Day… CTWW

This is the dough, after rising twice...ready to go in the oven.  I let Nathan shape the loaves ;)

Well, in my quest to take part in Changing the World, one eco-challenge at a time I have been presented a dual-task, 1 involves coffee, the other inspired this recipe for Whole Wheat Molasses Bread, made with coconut oil, of course!
