Enjoying an amazing journey through the Santa Cruz Redwoods Forest.

My mom and Nathan getting some energy from this beautiful Redwood...yes, we are tree-huggers!!!

Breastfeeding, walking and taking in the beautiful natural elements...(side note...carrying everyone's stuff, too)

300 feet tall!!!

Still breastfeeding...stopping to tap in to nature a bit.

Majestic beauty....

This Redwood tree is historic and has withstood severe fire damage...still beautiful and makes "a great story" according to Pioneer John C. Freemont who lived in this forest in the mid 19th century.

This is the inside of the above tree...

Same tree....just to show you how massive it is!

Santa Cruz, CA...home to the "Banana Slug"...they really like the redwood forest!

An image I won't soon forget...the quiet sounds of this place and magnitude of the trees presence is simply inspiring.

Brady discovering his first Redwood with my mom.

Hiking on a trail with the kids and mom.

That slug looks kinda gross, are there a lot of them around? I have a friend who lives near Santa Cruz, I think I may have to plan a trip and check out those trees! They're amazing.

Beautiful memories.. the banana slug makes me want to throw up, though.
